- a cushioned pet bed in the cargo area with an elevated platform;
– second row and cargo area pet restraint systems;
– an extendable cargo area load-in ramp;
– a 12V DC rear ventilation fan;
– second-row seat covers with a dog pattern design (matches the bed fabric);
– all-season rubber floor mats with a toy bone pattern;
– a spill-resistant water bowl;
– Dog Friendly exterior emblems.

We previously had the Honda Pilot and now have the Odyssey. Both Soffie and Griffyn have graduated from traveling in their crates to being harnessed in the back seat. Soffie loves that, but Griffyn is still adjusting. He rides well but wants to be as close to Soffie as he can be. We looked at the Element when we got the Odyssey. The Odyssey works good for us, because besides traveling with two dogs and alot of stuff, we quite often have 2 or 4 more adults traveling with us so having the third row seating is a definite plus! I think Honda is on the right track looking to appeal to us dog owners but I wonder if a dog owner designed this vehicle. I pesonally would not want the dog bed in the back behind the seats where I couldn't see Soffie and Griffyn. And I think that space looks like it could get pretty warm in Florida even with the a/c running in the vehicle. Other than that, I loved all the other accutrements!! And.... next time around we're definitely going to give the Element another look.
