I am like a kid trying to choose cookies when I go to the pet store, except I read the ingredients and where the treats are made. I am all for buying on sale, stock up if /when you can, treats can get spendy.
I'm embarrassed by what we have, though I do tend to stock up and that's the case with treats too. We have as many unopened treats in the cupboard that we picked up on sale as we do open treats that the dogs are currently getting. That said, we have
Organic minty treats for breath (one at bedtime)
Charlie Bears
Carvers (break into tiny pieces for training)
A second kind of minty treat (Mother Hubbard) for variety
In the cupboard, we have
Dentastix (once a week or so for teeth-cleaning)
Another low-calorie treat similar to the dentastix. These are all-natural and they love them
Zuke's mini naturals for training.
Nutro, one with blueberries and one with carrots (buy one get one free sale).
Some other big minty treat with green tea extract that they also love; these are large and they get half a one, and will be brought out when one of the two they rotate between are gone).
A fourth unopened minty treat that will also be cycled out when another is gone).
Liver treats we keep on hand if we do an emergency recall and there are no hot dogs available.
So that is, er....12.
Told you it's embarrassing. :)
