I guess Dragster likes to scare his momma..

Well i was out of town at a journalism competition this Easter weekend.
I called my mom between competitions to ask her how everything was. She told me she had to take Drag to the vet. I was about to freak out. She told me everything was fine. I had just switched vets about 3 days before i left town because if something did happen i didn't want to have to take him to that emergency vet again. Well thankfully Drag got sick during the day.. my new vet was out of town so we had to use my old vet. Dragster had a runny nose and sneezes last week, so that's another reason why i switched vets. Well the vet said he had an allergic reaction to something.. maybe a spider bite. He was throwing up and coughing. I was like great kennel cough! but she said it wasn't that. She put him on medicine and he take a teaspoon of Robitussin DM for his little cough. I was really about to leave the convention and head home!! thankfully he was in good hands. As soon as he gets over this i am taking him to get vaccinated for kennel cough.. just to make sure he doesnt catch that. I am really considering the pet insurance. He seems to get sick about once every 6 months.

Its crazy, We have a saint Bernard/shepherd mix as a yard dog at work and we know nothing about him. He never gets sick!! but Drag, a dog who is hardly considered a canine, who is spoiled as all get out, and is with me all the time always gets these funky health problems!

No, the only vet that I have ever used is the one in Andrews. Dr. Mohr's dad was the original vet. He retired and his son took over. I think you'd really like them, especially Dr. Mohr since he has corgis himself.

i really need that. Have you ever used the emergency vet in Odessa by that old radio tower?

You are more than welcome. I've used them for years and would never dream of switching. Their prices are great, too. They are open from 8:30 - 5:30 M-F and close at noon on Saturdays. One of the vets are on call each night and definitely do not have a problem meeting you at the office during their off hours.

Poor Dragster! I hope he gets to feeling better really soon. If you end up not liking your new vet, try the vet in Andrews. They are both wonderful vets and the vet techs are great, too. Dr. Mohr also has corgis.
