Congratulations! You deserve to be proud,and so does Stanley. :-)

We were most worried about greeting the other dog too, and for exactly the reason you mentioned: Jack wants to play with every dog he meets. We actually lucked out; the tester's dog had been there for hours and had about enough, and he was getting a little frisky and wanted to play too. So we had to make three attempts before both dogs behaved, but since hers was acting up she couldn't very well fail us for that. LOL

What FINALLY worked with Jack is I sat him across the room from the other dog, pointed his eyes towards the tester's dog and said "Leave it!" very sternly, and marched past.
