Since things have calmed down a lot, I am probably not going to update every day, a good thing!!!

The worst thing was on Wednesday when I took Poppy outside for our midday walk, she pee'd on the stairs in my apartment building, which she had never done before. Grrrrrrrr. So since then, I pretty much run her down as fast as we can.

In other news, I video taped her in the afternoon (which I wrote about last time) and then I video taped her in the morning, after a shorter walk and two small calming chews. Pretty much the same thing happened. She barked for about 4 minutes, stopped, barked from 7 to 10 min on the tape and then quiet until the end, 90min later.

It was very interesting to watch her and it made me a little sad because she walks around her pen in what looks like frustration, like she is board. So I bought her some toys which should arrive next week or the week after. I got her the IQ toy that Jen recommended and as well as this other plastic treat ball/kong that I saw a picture of and it looked kind of cool, so hopefully those will keep her busy with her food. I wish I could afford to put her in doggie day care every day as at this age she has a lot of energy and wish she had somewhere to get it out during the day.

Last night was interesting as she wondered around the apartment a lot, sniffing (thankfully not pee'ing but I kept a close eye on her) and I was afraid she was going to be up all night, but thankfully she settled down not long after I did.

This weekend will include hiking on Sunday (can't wait!!!), dog park and a long walk near my parents house tomorrow. I have to go out tonight and am a bit worried about leaving Poppy at home alone at night, but I am going to leave all the lights off, leave early and hopefully she'll stop barking and not keep the neighbors up. But then again, it is Friday, so.....
