Jazmin's First Vet Appointment

Today is the day, finally get to have a clean bill of health for the state of VA.

I made the appointment Tuesday, those corgi ears must have been working overtime. Went looking for her paperwork, I found a peice of the folder and some random other pieces of what's left of it, that brat must have over heard the coversation and said " I'll get him good, just chew up the paperwork, shot records and AKC Certificate then he can't take me"....

Anyways I confirmed that she is going without questions last night, I got the evil eye and a woof as well. I'm sure it will be an experience to remember. She is eventually getting spayed in April when they open up the avalibility of times, oddly enough it would seem this month is a busy time for vets in this area. She was not at all too pleased that she was getting spayed either but that goes without saying.

I'll be sure to pack plenty of yummy treats and the sorts, having my brother come along for not only moral support for her ( he is the second favorite snack dispensing machine in the house) but also can keep her from squirming too much if necessary. She has already destoryed a retractable leash rated for 90 lb. dogs, stripped the gears out of it so holding her still will take every bit of help.  She is a strong dog, very little fat and 25 lbs. of muscle which has already been proven once.

Will update when I get back tomorrow if I'm not drop dead tired, I'm sure she will want to sleep with "Dad" that day. Depending on how she does will determin if I clear a space on the bed for her or not.

Anyways keep your paws crossed she doesn't end up with more issues then has already been found. Her story can be found in a previous post about breeders that I did.

Cheers everyone,

Don and Crew

Ok, were back... She handled it like a champ.

Got all her shots up to date, she weighs in at 27.3 lbs. The doc. said she was in execelent shape and currently have her scheduled for spaying in April.

I'm so very proud of my girl, didn't even whimper or nothing.

Anyways, headed to bed as it was a long drive there and back.
