We recently had to put our very loved Corgi down due to Lymphoma.  Albert was just four years old and a very big part of our family of seven. We are looking for another and preferably two.

After learning more, we want to find a breeder who has been breeding for several years, and can show good health in several years of dogs.  We are located in Centra Texas.

If anyone has any information they are will to give we would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Thank you ALL so very much!  We have lots of love to share with a new puppie and although we want two, maybe not at the same time or from the same place. We do want a playmate for our new dog. We have five perfect kids and a puppie is another "kid' to us.  Takes a lot of time and effort to raise them.  So again thanks for all the responses.  Our first dog, Nelson was with us for 17 years. We thought Albert would be around a very long time as well.  We want the best for our next. Again thanks for the help.

Honestly, Pam is a wonderful breeder. She truly loves her girls/boys and has been breeding for 20+ years. She shows her dogs as well and they place consistently. She fosters many of the corgi and critter animals on her farm just north of Houston. I've met her in person and I got my Gracie from her earlier this year and you can see how well taken care of she was. Amazing person- amazing breeder---

Before anything, look up breeders listed on the PWCCA site in your state. One notable breeder in Texas is Overo.

Also, I highly suggest looking up "littermate syndrome" before considering buying two puppies at the same time. Reputable breeders are unlikely to let two from the same litter go to the same home, simply because in the large majority of cases, the puppies receive divided attention during critical stages of their training and education. It is not a slight against you, it is just a largely-accepted fact. I know you must be hurting right now, but do consider giving one puppy your absolute undivided attention instead of splitting between two.

I too wanted two dogs, but I decided to go with one puppy. Then, when he was a year and a half, I got my second. I do not regret this at all. It allowed me to train Ace to the best of my abilities and have him be a great role model for the new puppy.

I would avoid Dovetail Ranch. Their webpage has a lot of red flags for me, not the least of which is that they list the breed as "Pembroke Welch Corgis".

I'm getting my corgi from a breeder in Dublin, TX. I think she is expecting another litter soon. Look up in google, retriever unlimited and choose Dovetail Ranch. The litter I choose from had adorable puppies. They have been running the ranch for many years.

I got my corgi from a breeder named Pam Williams right outside of Houston. Her pups are amazing and she takes excellent care of them. She also works with Corgi and Critters rescue. I highly recommend her.

PM me and I'll give you her email address.
