Dear Weeders

Just thought I would bwing you up to date on Miss Daisy's eye pwoblem az well az a couple of her, what Momma calls "mile stones," whitch she says akshully mean what I thought they did: stonez to mark a mile. Funny though, I mark lots more times than just once every mile. Can't be too careful about leaving my business card for all to read.

Daisy wents to the eye doctor speshullist this morning. Her dwy eye iz only a teensy bit bedder, so Dr. Kelly an' Momma diskussed options: keep on doing what we're doing wif the eye dwops an' other thingies OR have a surgery that will help Daisy to have moisture in her poor dwy eye.

After consulting Daisy an' me, Momma haz decideds to have the surgery for Daisy. We hopes, given da informations Dr. Kelly gaved Momma an' Daisy, dat dis will makes her poor eye much bedder, even though it won't cure it.

So Daisy will go to the big clinic in Winston-Salem next Tuesday to haves her surgery. She can come home dat same day, whitch I think is welly nice. We will takes good care of her an' not make fun of her "lampshade" thingie she haz to wear till she heels. Personally, I think that Daisy heels just fine already, but apparwently, Dr. Kelly thinks otherwise.

Daisy has just mades a really great bwakethrough today. Da thunder started booming an' crashing dis afternoon. Daisy got up in her nest, walked across the floor, climbed up on the step to the sofa, and came an' sat down by Momma. She has nebber ebber done dat before. Dat is a BIG step an' it made Momma almost cry. Daisy did this twice today!!! We iz so happy.

She has also played wif her first toy an' even made it do a squeeky . . . she did that when Momma had putted us to bed an' turned out our bedroom lights.

So, dear weeders, today has been what Momma calls a "banner day"--we agrees an' now we wants to know when Momma is gonna put out da banners for our Daisy cuz' she sure earned them today.

Until next time, dear weeders,
Skeezix on his typer thingie wif the latest news from our hive.

Hi Skeezix! Hope all is well with Daisy. Griffyn doesn't like the thunder either. He likes to stick his head under mommy's bed. I guess he doesn't realize that the whole rest of him is stickin out where everyone can see him!! Keep us posted on Daisy's eye!
