Earlier in December, I took Bentley to the vet to get neutered. I brought him home and all he wanted to do was sleep (which they said was normal.) He would walk and then stop and if he stopped for too long he would start to fall asleep. Even while he was sitting down:

Hahahaha, poor guy.

He was fine the next day but I had to keep the e-collar on because he kept wanting to lick at his stitches. And while he was walking around, I was watching him and he kept reminding me of something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. All day I kept glancing over until finally it clicked that looked like a floor lamp... I even googled it to confirm. See:

He had to wear it through Christmas, since he didn't get his stitches out until the 26th, but after a while the only person that noticed he had an e-collar on was me. I received constant reminders as it continuously jabbed into the back of my leg.

Happy Holidays!

LO didn't need the collar, he had no awareness that anything had happened I think. No anes drowsiness and I think he licked his area a week or so later. Love your story, made me laugh.

Ah yes......the poking of the E-collar on the back of your leg; I remember well. Along with the bruise mark it left!!! Duncan seemed to be able to hit the same spot constantly when he wore his after surgery. But, he had broken the e-collar into pieces by the 3rd day, that I took it off. He kept hitting the ground and sidewalk outside with it, and I was afraid he would break his neck.

Awwww, at least he didn't mope around when he had the e-collar on. Every dog that I have owned that had to wear one just moped around with it on. Looked very depressed. He doesn't look too bothered by it. Cute visual of the floor lamp... He is a handsome boy even with the e-collar on!!!
