My little introduction

I want to start off by saying what a wonderful wealth of information this little site is! My boyfriend and I will be getting our first dog ever this July! She'll be a little 10-week old Pembroke red and white girl. We are beyond excited.

I've already been pouring over as much information as possible, hoping to train our puppy into a sweet polite little lady. I've grown up with misbehaving, yappy miniature schnauzers my whole life... so I'm looking forward to doing things right with my own dog!

My boyfriend and I already have quite a few smaller pets, 4 degus, 1 turtle and 1 skink. My degus are totally my furbabies, and I'm hoping our puppy will get along with them well!

Rupert the turtle enjoys wedging himself behind things.

And the skink enjoys trying to jump off of pillows and climbing into your hair.

So those are the current members of our family.

Our puppy is coming from a breeder in a city about 3 hours away from us. Here are the parents:

And the newborn puppies... one of the red & white puppies is mine!

I'm just dying waiting for the breeder to post more pictures of the puppies! It's going to be a long two months!

They have a genuine bark, instead of a yap and tend to use it when needed, rather than just in maniacal moments. They also have the tenacity of terriers, but the intelligence to channel it quite differently. Looking forward to watching your journey!
