Nice post Sarah! That's a great way to teach kids :)

I taught my neighbor's kids that a heel bite was a game. Freeze tag and the dog is ALWAYS it. When the dog bites your heel, FREEZE and turn away from the dog and count to 10.
Now if I can only teach the other neighborkid how not to pet my dog by punching her softly in the head. HMM! (At least DiDi seems to like it.)

Practice having the girls walk fast and stop and give a firm NO if the pup starts to nip. If she continues give her a time out (room with nothing going on for a few minutes or leashed with no play. This is the best time to teach your kids how to stop unacceptable behavior. I would not give treats at this time. She needs to learn nipping people=boring.
