My little girl came home with tons of fleas on her, a bloated stomach, and several different types of worms-one of them being tapeworm. She also has heartworms. Luckily I got her at six weeks old but her brothers and sisters are still waiting to be picked up by their owners. I hope someone that is buying from them sees this post. Here is the ebay ad they put up for the puppies. http://birmingham.ebayclassifieds.com/dogs-puppies/ohatchee/akc-pem...
These puppies were also fed Sam's Club dog food which has sawdust as a filler. If you know anyone buying a puppy from this breeder please let them know how these poor babies are being treated. Beware of the breeder not giving out vet records and they are also only willing to meet you somewhere else so you cannot see the dogs' living conditions. This needs to be stopped. Thank you.

The vet told me they would turn into heartworms if not treated properly. Sorry for the confusion
I am sorry you had a bad experience. Are you sure about the heartworm, though? It hardly seems possible to know one way or the other; puppies under six MONTHS old are not tested:
http://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/faqs.html#q6
" It takes five to seven months from the time a dog is bitten by infected mosquitoes until a blood test can accurately detect the presence of adult worms."
There is no way for a six-week old puppy to test positive. The test is for ADULT heartworms and it takes many months for them to mature.
I dunno. I drove 5 hours to see my breeders facilities and puppies. If one hadn't been a fit I would of walked away. I'm sure there must have been red flags prior to all of this. Is this breeder even listed with the PWCCA? It's sad an unfortunate that your pup is sick and comes from poor conditions.
I did not buy her off ebay. I was calling different breeders in Georgia and they led me to these people. The breeder I had originally called told me she didn't have any puppies but she knew someone who did. She was the owner of the male Corgi. When we got to Alabama both us and the breeder agreed to meet us at their home. However, when we had just reached their town, they decided that they would go to Petsmart and we would meet them there instead. There's not much you can do when you drive 2 hours for a puppy and suddenly plans change.
Look, I know it sucks. HOWEVER, you bought a dog off Ebay from people who wouldn't let you come to their home and forced you top take a pup at 6 weeks. I'm not trying to be snarky, but everything right there is giant red flags. I would of ran screaming from any breeder that would pull those things. It sounds like a puppy mill. I think, instead of just pointing out bad breeders, to teach how to properly pick out a GOOD breeders. Live and learn, next time your in the market for a puppy you'll know what to look for. It's much more than just having AKC registration and the right price.
