What a Monday... I think I'm just going to have to Office Space-it and say, "I have the case of the MONdays."
It begins during the wee hours in the middle of the night as the storms roared and raged through Plano, TX. Sky, who enjoys lightening and thunder, wanders through the apartment going between his bed and watching the storm out of the window. Not that this specifically kept me awake, but since I was having trouble sleeping hearing him go back and forth was driving me insane!
Now its around 6-7am and I'm stumbling around trying to get ready for work, Sky is stealing kibbles of food from his bowl and eating them infront of the window, and I step into something... moist. Sky is 10 months old now and has been accident free for... 4-5months? But for whatever reason I found what looked to me as spots of poop!!!! THE HORROR! I have no idea when or why it happened. My guess is I was training him pretty rough last night and as he began to get mentally frustrated he wouldn't go potty before bed time. Regardless, there it lay on the floor, and there I was just fresh from the shower scrubbing the floor and deodorizing it.
Aside from the drama, trials, and tribulations at work, I come home ready to finally call the vet to get Sky in to pick up more Sentinal for heart worm and flea prevention. Expecting a human to pick up the phone, I was shocked when a machine picked up stating that my Vet, Custer Parkway Animal Hospital, was closed! Since August! I not once received a phone call, email, letter, or anything! I was so devestated since they had been Sky's clinic from the day I brought him home. The best thing about it was that it was clean, smelled clean, and everybody was so fabulously nice. So I quickly had to randomly select a vet off of citysearch.com. It was definitely no Custer Parkway Animal Hospital but it was not too terrible. The sad part was Sky being frightened of the Vet and being fairly skittish. I had never seen Sky like that before. He was even shaking! Usually he loves the Vet because he knows he gets treats the entire time he's there! The vet was very nice and we did manage to get his Sentinal. I do intend to start ordering that online as it will be almost $40 cheaper.
What a day... And this doesn't even include the fact that my ceiling is leaking, just in case it wasn't crazy enough. Like I said, its raining inside and out.
