@John, I did forget to say that when I shopped at PetSmart, I had trouble finding one that would fit him and he is a big corgi (~35-36 lb.) but one of the managers came and demonstrated a special brand that seemed to have intermediate sizes and that may be responsible for that one doing well.

@John, My first pem had a red harness like this and I resized it for him initially but he grew out of that so I bought this one from him.  Since it gets hot here and he is a fluff, I clip him down to 1/8" in the summer and he doesn't develop problems but he doesn't hike either.  All 3 bands to the ring on the front can be adjusted so you can re-adjust it multiple times.

Does that harness work OK?  We have one something like that (not same kind).  I use it only for occasional safety belays (log crossings on trails) because it tends to wear a sore on the collarbone on long days.  Took us a long time to realize that.
