As I write this my new guy Rhun is getting the big snip and losing his boy bits. Though I think I am more nervous. We took him to a new vet out of town, one that a family member has used in the past as our vet in the city couldn’t get him in for a month and this one was 5 days, not to mention the town (small city) vet charges half the price as our big city vet, I was quite shocked, and there is no additional charge for I.V. and blood work. I wish I knew that 2 months ago when my girl got spayed. I wonder how quick he will be to recuperate compared to a girl, though thankfully he is mellow and a couch potato so it will be easy to keep him from running around like crazy, compared to my girl 2 months ago.

Rhun is going great, he is fine without his cone, but at bed time and while we are out we put it on just incase. He has totaly changed, He use to be super mellow couch potato indoors, only moving to eat or got for walk, now we can't keep him still! Adora gets so excited that he now is wanting to play all the time, but mad becuase i won't let them.

How is Rhun doing? I picked up Baron this morning. He is not a happy camper with his Elizabethan collar. I have to hold his food bowl up to him for him to be able to eat. He is very mellow and resting comfortably.

Baron is getting the big snip tomorrow. I'm also more nervous. He doesn't have a clue what is going to happen. We are also going to a new vet. They are doing Pre-op labs as well and sending him home with pain meds. Baron is far from a couch potato, he has been going crazy on exercise restrictions for the last 5 weeks.

I feel for you, we just had Sally fixed in May. My boy was much easier than the girl!! I really couldn't tell he had anything done except for trying to keep him still! I'm sure he'll be fine! Good luck and fast healing to Rhun! :)
