Was reading thru the blogs this morning, too wet to garden, and noticed that a fellow corgi owner had Her corgi come down with colitis after trying some salmon-based kibble. That totally alarmed Me!!Our corgis eat Canidae no glutton/wheat salmon 40% protein kibble. It was recommended due to the dry coats and itching alot of corgi get. After being on the food for over a year,We've had no health issue (except Merlin's ccl surgeries when He hurt Himself) from either pup.Thought I'd

throw it out there and see if You all think We should switch??Thanx ahead of time for the advice.

If you've seen a fresh Salmon, it is a fatty fish.

Mine have eaten TOTW salmon for years with no problems:) I did switch to lamb for Bella but she's had some possible food allergies nothing to do with the salmon.

salmon kibble is not much different than the other kibble. No need to switch. Some brands of salmon kibble are less calorie/fat and some are more, just depends on the individual brand. The colitis was likely due to switching from a grain heavy, low protein food to a grain-free or high protein food an not from the salmon itself (this same thing would happen if you switched to a high protein chicken or duck food too). You definitely want to stay away from raw salmon, especially in the Pacific  Northwest but since its in the kibble no need to switch or worry at all.
