Hello everyone. Sad news for one of our Corgis, who's name is Sam. You may have seen her, with her sister Taz, in the Corgi calendar a couple years ago. Sam has been diagnosed with Canine Lymphoma. Her lymph nodes are enlarged throughout her body. She is only 7 years old. A biopsy will be preformed today. Asking for some Corgi prayers. Heartfelt Thank You!

Vicky...exactly! I don't have the money to pay $10,000+ for surgery for Max's neck but I had the $700 it cost to reroute Oliver's plumbing. And I an can sure afford the acupuncture for Max's neck tho some people think I'm nuts for doing those things.
Jeez. You have to go with what you think is right and what you can afford. It's really none of anyone else's business. I personally don't have the resources to pay for an expensive treatment that would extend briefly but not save a dog's life. But I don't begrudge those who feel they can deal with it, financially and emotionally.
I am going to move some writings here.
Praying for Sam!
I agree with Stephanie....go with your heart. Whether to treat or not is a personal decision that only you can make. I have spent tons of money treating arthritis, surgery for "water on the knee", having my boy kitty's plumbing rerouted to pee like a girl because the boy plumbing wasn't working, stroke, diabetics and tumors in my cats and so many other things thrown at me over the course of 40 years of being owned by cats and dogs. I never let the rolling eyes of some dictate what I was going to do for those entrusted to my care. Prayers that Sam responds to treatment.
Thank you everyone for your very kind words.
I read your posts on your blog. You mention that you have friends who said that they probably would not treat Sam's illness due to costs involved. Go with your heart. I have spent thousands on various pets in my life for their medical care. I had two diabetic cats when insulin for them was quite expensive. One lasted eight years on insulin therapy and another almost nine. While it made a dent in my finances, I never thought I was doing anything but the best for some lovely animals that have given me an incredible amount of unconditional love. Hopeful Sam responds in a positive way.
I do remember them from the calendar. I do hope that all goes well. I am so sorry!
Hello everyone. I am going to move my post to our blog. Link above. Please check back from time to time, as I will keep updating there.
