UPDATE: It's now been a year since Sidney's hip went out and he had FHO surgery!
We had to borrow to pay for his surgery, and thanks to my friend Julie who made bandanas, and Jeff who took photos, we made a dent in the money needed for surgery. Now we need to finish paying off his surgery, and I have finally (with my daughter's help) made another set of bandanas! These bandanas will be given as a thank you gift in exchange for a donation for Sidney's surgery. Suggested donation is $10, but we will take anything.
I have two patterns! I only have 6 scarves in each pattern though. It's amazing how few bandanas you get out of a length of fabric!
The first one is red on the back, tan on the front with hearts, bones and pawprints:
The other one is gray on one side, and black with brow, tan and gray pawprints:
The gray doesn't show up very well, sorry about that!
If any of you would like to get a bandana, please send me a message through mycorgi or else to my email geristerling@yahoo.com, and I'll get it mailed off to you right away! Thank you all so much for your support.

Hi Corgi friends,
As many of you know, last August Sidney was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, and he underwent FHO surgery in order to give him mobility and alleviate some of the pain. If you've been reading my blog posts, you've seen how he did in his recovery and how he's moving really well now and walks without a limp. It was the right choice to get him the surgery.

All healed and back on the hiking trail
Like many people, we had to "rob Peter to pay Paul" in order to afford the surgery. I have a wonderful friend named Julie who has offered to help us to re-pay Peter. Julie has made these gorgeous bandanas, made just to fit our corgi friends.
Sidney and his buddy Theo are our lovely models
We will give away a bandana in exchange for a donation to Sidney's fund, with the suggested donation of $8.
The first set of bandanas is finished. They are a lovely blue floral pattern with a solid blue back. Scarves measure 29 inches long and 11.5 inches deep. If you are interesed in getting one, message me with your address and I will send you my address and the bandana. If you are local we can just arrange to meet. Sidney and I thank you so much, and a big thanks to Julie for all her hard work. New colors/patterns will be available at a later date.
Thank you so much for all your advice and support. I know Sidney would not be doing as well as he is without you!

Hi Ellen,
I was just about to email you back when I saw you posted here. I had one guy who has a big cardi get one, and it fits, but just barely. The blue ones were from earlier in the year, and right now I have the red ones and the black/gray ones. They tend to measure 28-29 inches, and since they are handmade they vary a little. I could measure and set aside the biggest ones. Why don't you measure around their necks and see if there would be enough to go around plus a little extra for tying it on. Then just let me know if you think they'll work.
The other thing you could do is sew on snaps (or velcro), so you don't have to allow room for tying a knot.
Geri, I sent you a message but not sure if it went through. I'd like to get three of them, one grey and two of the red. Just had a question, though....would they fit my 50 lb cardis? They're big...not fat, though...but big with gobs of fluff on their bibs and around their necks.
Thanks!!!!
Also...please note: I have 2 scarves from last time and they are great...the sewing is very nice unlike what you buy in stores. Also being able to reverse these scarves is a plus:)
Definately recommend!
Sage and I would love the red one with bones and hearts! This will be perfect for her therapy dog visits as our small group is called Puppy Love Therapy dogs and the colors are red! Please reserve one!!!!!
Thanks1
Sage and Jane
