I took Charlie to petsmart to get the furminator wash and asked them to trim around his poop shoot (I think that's what everyone called it here lol) and I stressed that I only wanted that part trimmed. When I went to pick him up the guy trimmed way to much. It looks likes a mini lawn mower went through his fluff. I am only so upset because the last time i took him, they did a nice job and didn't get rid of so much. This time it's a lot and I'm scared that it won't grow back! I just hope he won't get patchy and he will get fluffy again. My parents say its not that bad and I guess it's not. It's just the initial shock of seeing his butt like that. Oh well...What do you guys think? You think it will grow back again? and if it does, how long will it take?

I am happy that he is clean and they washed him very well. Just shocked I guess. I also wanted to take his back to trim the rest so it won't look as odd but I didn't want to risk them making it worse. Should have I been mean and told him he did bad. I was so excited to see Charlie that I didn't even pay attention until I saw him walking in front of me. Also he seemed like he was trying, I guess I will have to point out what I want shaved next time.

I take Roslyn to Petsmart for grooming. I ask them to trim her "butt curtains" very short about twice a year (spring because of the mud, and fall because of the mud and leaves)

When I get her back she looks like a "normal" corgi butt wise. I'm not sure if this is what you are talking about when you say shave or not. They do use shears to trim that much hair off her rump.

It grows back within a month or two. all of it. everytime.

I'm not sure if it is because she is a fluffy, or if it is because the hair on her butt is different than the rest of her fur.

Anyway, I hope this helps put your fear at rest. The first time I took her to be groomed I was not expecting them to cut so much and came back shocked, but now I have a favorite groomer there and I know exactly what i am getting everytime.

Aaargh, I can't answer the question, but every time my husband suggests having Abby's plushies trimmed to deter dingleberries I say no way. Its only once in a while something sticks and I'd rather have to clean her off than risk a bad hair cut! Good luck, I hope it grows back quickly!
