My 4 yr old Corgi, Sandi snapped at my 19 mo old for the first time when she got to close while she was chewing her bone. Anyone have any ideas on how to stop this before it turns into a bite? She's never been food agressive before, so I'm not sure what has started this. My daughter used to crawl around her while she was eating but not sure why its starting now.
Any input would be very appreciated!!!

I agree with Bev that children should not be near dogs with food or a bone. It's one of the more important things to teach a child about dog safety. Nineteen months is too young for your girl to understand that, but it's time to start teaching.
I don't know why this would start now. I do know that some dogs, in my experience, react more strongly with rawhide than food.
I know that Cesar Milan has done some shows on dogs and babies so you could check his web site or hulu. I know that I just never let my kids or grand kids go near the dogs when they were chewing a bone.
