Snuggle Puppy

On June 1st my hubby and I found out some very exciting news...we found out we were expecting our first child! Our due date is February 9th 2010. Once I hit about the 2 month mark of pregnancy Chloe started being a lot more cuddly with me. She was a little bit before the pregnancy, but now she seeks me out and stays near me for much longer than she used to. She's a little bit more mature now (her 1st birthday was May 21st) so I can't really tell if she's being more of a snuggle puppy because I'm pregnant or if she's just mellowing out after being a puppy.

Have you ever noticed your dogs or other pets treat you differently when you were pregnant?

As far as dogs and pregnant owner, I saw a thing on tv once that said that dogs can pick up on the extra hormones that a woman gives off during pregnancy. Female dogs start to become nurturing/protective of "the family" pregnancy.
I have not experienced this myself on a daily basis. However when pregnant with my son, my in-laws dog was extra gentle with me and wouldn't try to jump on me.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sister in law is due in February 2010 as well, I am so excited as well!!!!!!
