Swimming
I thought dogs can swim and love playing in water.
Toby, on the other hand, is afraid of water.
She freezes when I bath her, and her whole body shakes when I walk her along the beach close to the lake.
I have seen lots of dogs running, swimming, and playing fetch (from water) happily at the beach.
Is it just Toby or are corgis afraid of water?
Barking
Toby barks a lot, but she only barks to tell us if someone is visiting or when she hears a strange noise.
When no one's home, she wouldn't bark at all (even when there is a doorbell).
If I bark with Toby, she would actually bark at a even higher pitch (similar to a wolf with her head pointing up).
Social Life
Toby enjoys playing with other dogs. She likes to play "hide and seek".
Her best friend is my cousin's Shih Shu, but the Shih Shu died earlier this year at the age of 15.
Now, Toby usually plays with a Sheltie named Simba (my cousin's new dog) and a toy poodle named Momo (my other cousin's dog).
Toby loves to bark and chase after Simba.
Both of them make lots of noises, but it is fun watching the dogs playing with each other.
Sharing
Toby is a nice dog who will share her treats with her friends.
It is very cute to see Toby pushing dog treats to other dogs with her nose.
Tricks
Toby knows "hand", "the other hand", "turn(flip) over", "roll", "stay", "leave it", "drop it", "kiss", "come", "let mama carry you" (she will jump to my arms), "bark", "jump", "down", "sit", and lots more.
She is very smart and can understand the commands in various languages.
Snoring
Toby snores as soon as she lies down (even before she falls asleep). She makes noises as she breathes sometimes.
