Stop asking me whether she is pure?

I LOVE my little girl and would NOT trade her for anything.

But I sometimes got the same question "Is she pure?" from the people who knows a little bit about corgis or from some corgi owner. I don't think there is anything wrong with my girl. I know she is pure and she behaves totally in Corgi-Style, but we have to admit that each dog looks different. Those beautiful ones which are considered close to the standard would participate in the dog shows. Those ones ain't we still love them to death. Just like us people, tall, short, slim, muscular....etc.

For curiosity, I want to know what make them think my girl is not pure, anything makes her off the "Standard"?

Here are some pics taken by a pet photographer. (Yes, I do want to show off my lovely girl as well ;-P)

She looks as a corgi should. Fences is  on the slim side so it gives the illusion of longer legs. Don't let questions of purity bother you, at the end of the day you know your dog best. She is a beautiful corgi. :]

BTW I would change just a tiiiny little thing... clip her nails a lil more! They're a touch long in my opinion. Remember that snagged nails can occur anywhere, when they're long, and are extremely painful and expensive vet visits!

I think she look beautiful!!  People are constantly asking me what Frosty is mixed with.  My standard response is "No really, he is supposed to look like that"

I think she is gorgeous! She is definitely a full Corgi and I agree with Ludi, Corgi's are so adorable but even more so when they are skinny.

Pff, I love how she looks, just the way she is. Slim and fit corgis look a ton better than their overdone, or overweight counterparts. :-) Ace sends a high-five to his fellow skinny corgi cousin!

She is gorgeous! Love the photos! <3 I totally feel your pain. My little Al has one blue eye so I get the "he must be mixed with aussie/cardi/some other dog with blue eyes" comments often. He is pure but had some funky recessive gene pop up. Because of that we were lucky enough to adopt him since he can't be shown in conformation. I knew we would get those comments a lot but I don't care, he is our little boy and we love him. I know it's tough but just ignore the doubters. They will always be out there.

I get that all because of how small Kipper is, he's only 20lbs fully grown. Your girl looks just like a pure corgi I don't see how she couldn't be.

I think she is so precious!  I love the picture where she is sticking her tongue out!  She looks every bit like she's a pure corgi.  Especially if she's got corgitude!  (And she sure has the corgi smile)!

I think she's gorgeous. I've seen tons of photos of corgis and she looks pure to me :)  The only think I can think of is that she's slim... many corgis are chubby.  And her slim physique makes her legs look longer than many other corgis legs.

Slim is good :)  Corgis shouldn't be overweight anyway.  Great photos!
