Long time members here know about Team Low Rider! This is our fifth year competing in Paws in the Park for the title of top fundraising team. Paws in the Park is an annual event to raise funds for the Escondido Humane Society. For years, the ladies who tend to the cats at the shelter had year after year run away with first place with no real competition. In 2009 I thought "why should the cat people have all the fun?" so I formed Team Low Rider. Finally some real competition! We actually managed to wrest first place from them in 2010, our one year of taking the top prize (and getting our name on the plaque in the shelter lobby). 2011 - 2013 we gave them a run for the money but they managed to pull ahead in the end.

Well, we are trying again. We are off to a great start although we can't get complacent. Those cat ladies always get an "anonymous" $5000 donation a few days before the event. Take a look at the team standings sometime, see how we are doing: Team standings

I am so excited about our team shirts! Every year our meetup coordinator comes up with the most amazing design. This year it's a super stretch motorcycle with Sidney in the driver's seat. Take a look! And 10% of the cost of the shirt goes to the team!
