On Sunday I picked up my baby boy Tedy!! His full name is Patriot Tedy B (fairly obvious I named him after Tedy Bruschi, a linebacker for the patriots haha) He was almost 10 weeks old and weighed about 7lbs.  He was so sweet and this was the first time he'd ever been away from his mommy!  I'm crate training him the same way I crate trained my other dogs in the past and he seems to be picking up on it fairly well except I have to keep a close eye on him because he doesn't bark when he has to pee..I just have to KNOW when to take him.  The only problem I'm having training him is he doesn't like ANY treats! I've tried tons of different types, and even hamburger, cheese, and peanut butter and he doesn't like ANY of it.  Another thing is he barely eats and won't eat out of the bowl at all...he'll only let me put the kibble on the floor and then he'll eat less than 1/4 cup.  The vet yesterday gave him his 3 month old shots and I swear the screams he let out was like he was being murdered :(  He said I'm babying him and Tedy already owns me which is hard to deny if you've looked at his sweet little face.  Everyone asks me if he's mixed because he looks sort of like a husky in the face but no he is a purebred pembroke welsh corgi in a chocolate color!  Any advice on the food thing would be much appreciated!

That sounds much better about shots. I have 2 Corgis that are NOT food orientated!!!!!!!!!! It's ok to sit by him and maybe he will feel more comfortable but also I just leave the food out for pups and always think they should be hungrier than they really are, continue to moniter but I'm sure things will get better!

Hi sorry I meant to say his 2 month old shots!! He can't get his rabies shots until his next appointment.  i AM feeding him the same food as the breeders and I've tried the warm water and he won't eat it :(  It's not that he's not hungry because when I take it out of the bowl he'll eat a little bit of it but you're right maybe he's just still nervous. I think because Roxy was such a good eater when she was a puppy this is just new to me.  He hasn't had any accidents in the house and he's great about going outside but the problem is that he just doesn't eat much and I've tried all types of food.  Vet says I'm babying him but I don't want him to starve!

Are you feeding him the food the breeder fed him???? You could add a bit of warm  water. Why did the vet give him his 3 month shots at  less than 10 weeks(the rabies may not take and around here they will NOT give that till 12 weeks)10 weeks????? After a couple weeks I would just take him in to visit the vets office NOT for any shots so he starts to see the vet isn't a bad place to visit.

He's scared to death...imagine new home , it is normal for a pup at his age to not know how to let you know about having to go potty, I would let him out about 20 minutes after each meal, every 2 hours and more. He can't hold his bladder at this age so it's normal.

I think he is very handsome...congrats!
