I want to let all of you on this site and their Corgis know how much I appreciated your support today.  I really needed it.  It seems so strange not to have my "little one" with me as I go around my home.  I use to talk to him like he was another human.  But I am very thankful he was my "guy" for the 3.5 years he lived with me.  I adopted him just two days before Mom went into a nursing home and needed his presence greatly.  At that time, I wasn't familar with Corgis so didn't know how loyal they are.  He was the best and just right for me!!

Thank you, also, for the sites where one can find a Corgi.  To the gentleman in Midland - I know where Carson City is as I was born there and it's not all that far.  Thank you for the website address.  I plan to check it out more when I am able thinking more clearly.

Please give your Corgis an extra hug tonight - just because!!

She's not a rescue, but in Carson City, Michigan.

We feel your pain. We lost our little girl Gwen almost 2 weeks ago. She was only 4 years old. Devastated doesn't even begin to describe it. Last week we put a big picture of her on the wall. Our Cardigan Gavin saw it and started whining and looking for her. Then he just sat and stared at her for a few minutes. But last week we got a beautiful tri Pembroke named Josie. She is a little fireball and has livened things up a lot. I hope you find a new love soon that brings you lots of joy.

I say this a lot to people on this site -- but isn't it amazing how you found each other, when you needed each other the most?  So sorry for your loss, such a heartbreak.  But to be able to extend your love for your little guy to someone else who needs you, what a great gift and memorial to him.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.  I have been there, and know how insanely painful it is.  Try to remember the good times you had, and I promise that each day will become a little easier.  You never get over it, (I still cry every day over my Dillon), but it becomes easier as time goes on.  None of my other dogs could ever "replace" Dillon (although Jackson reminds me of him) or any other dogs I've lost--but they help fill the voids that the beloved dogs have left.

Amy, so sorry to hear of your loss. A colleague of mine just lost her retriever after 11 years two days before Christmas and I see how devastated she is. I can't say I know what you are going through because I don't just know that you are in my thoughts.

Also did you see that Cheryl Lyons has some really cute rescue puppies available soon?
