Went to the beach last weekend and had a ball of a time. The dogs have been at half-energy ever since, so spastic was their frenetic frapping.

I did see something that gave me pause though. My boyfriend was playing with them with a piece of washed up cane. Those strong, sturdy, springy kind of canes. Reagan got a little bit over eager and snapped the end off.

Not by twisting or chewwing or worrying it. He jumped up, caught it with his back teeth and in the same motion clipped it off with the efficiency of a hedge clipper.

Yup. That's no rabbit I have.

If I didn't know any better I'd think I was living with a carnivore.

That explains how Lilliput bifurcates or beheads her bunnies.

Yay, you've witnessed the power of a Scissor Bite. Few breeds have this wonderfully scary type of meeting of the teeth, a Corgi being one of them.

Easy way to Imagine it is to visualize a pair of scissors, now equate that to the jaws closing. The teeth slightly overlap each other resulting in a shearing effect.

I've watched Jazmin shear a rawhide chew in half with ease doing this...keep in mind that my industrial kitchen sheers couldn't accomplish this same task.

Just goes to show how much our dogs love us, if they wished to they could inflict a world of hurt'in on humans with ease. And to what fine jaw control they really do have when playing rough with human hands.

Sincerely,

Don and Crew
