The Brave Little Corgi and Thunderstroms~

So Oregon Weather has been rather.. Odd..

off and On our Spring has been Winter and our Winter was Spring.. and Yesterday.. well There was a ROYAL Thunderstorm that came on out of the Blue.. poor Ace doesnt like it when the wind rattles the house and sits by the door Growling as if someone was coming lol

the Wind Turned to Rain and then the Flash of lights light up the sky and low rumbles were heard.. he was ok with the Rumbles but then there was a BRIGHT flash and not even 5 seconds later a loud BOOM! was heard.. that spooked Every Cat int he house and made every one jump.. it was THAT Close! Ace ran to the Door BARKING swearing up and down SOME Insane person caused that noise and he wanted to give them a piece of his mind.. I had to grab his collar pick him up plop him in my lap and make him look me in the eyes before i could convince him NO ONE was out there.. and RIGHT After i convince him.. something started hitting our house.. it sounded like loud tiny Bangs.. My dad and I got up and looked out the front door to stare in amazement as Marbel sized hail began falling.. Ace wanted out sooo bad poor guy lol I waited for it to die down before i let him oout.. we went and investigated the damage.. luckily there was no damage done THANKFULLY. Found out my brother was Driving when the hail hit.. he pulled off the side of the road until it stopped poor guy lol

But when i let Ace out to go play he happily started picking up the hail balls and eating them LOL round ice Cubes from the SKY YAY! lol

in other news.. we might be losing one of our Beloved family members here soon.. Mom is talking about puting our Golden retriever mix Buffy down next week she will be 16 come Octoberr ;~; i really dont like the thought of her not being here but its not fair to keep her around to make her sufer.. her back legs arnt wanting to work anymore and its hard watching her try and walk..

I'm sorry about your golden...we had to make that same decision with our newfoundland for the same reason. It was so hard to do, but in the end was the right decision. Take care...:)

A couple of weeks ago we had a strong storm come through like that in the middle of the night and Brodie jumped up and ran to the door barking at the rain too! It was very hard to convince him it wasn't someone trying to break in! They're so funny when they do things like that, even if it is in the middle of the night.

Sorry to hear about Buffy, but 16 is almost unheard of in Goldens, so you have all been very blessed to have her in your lives that long. It's tough to let them go, but sometimes we owe them that peace and release from this life.

Hope you all can get through the decision and come to acceptance. Whatever is best for her should be the right decision. It's hard on us though, and I don't look forward to any decisions we'll have to make. Good thing you have Ace to comfort you when her time does come.
