It is hard to believe that in just a little over 7 hours we will be seeing Samantha in person and bringing her home with us. Have been checking the flight information already (she hasn't even taken off yet). At first there was over an hour delay, which would not be good because her connecting flight is only a 30 minute lay over. But just got through checking again a few minutes ago and every leg of her trip is on time. Now just hope it stays that way. Needless to say I am certifiably bonkers at this point and that is probably putting it mildly! One thought (or word really) keeps running through my mind since I got up at 4:30 a.m. about Samantha "TODAY, TODAY, TODAY IS SAMIDAY"

Well guess today is not going to be Samiday after all. She was pulled off her original flight due to bad weather and a 3 hour back up at her connecting flight to here. Soooooooooooo we are waiting to hear what day and flight can be arranged. Just thankful that the breeder could pick her up and take her back home.

Look at that tongue! You know she could have flown into Midland/Odessa and I would have picked her up! Not so sure Marion and Vern would have ended up with her, though. LOL!! Will Sami get to her new home today? I can't wait for Marion and Vern to get her. I'm looking forward to hearing many Sami stories.

And thanks to Wendy I was able to sleep Saturday night. She has been absolutely super through the whole process of us getting one of her puppies. Not only are we getting an adorable puppy but feel as if I have made a friend for life in Wendy. She cares deeply for her dogs and just as concerned for future litters not just the pups but the mommas' as well. We feel very blessed to have found her. Wendy thank you is not enough but words fail me to express how grateful we are. Talk at you LATER

Yes, a very disappointing day for Marion and Vern. Just be thankful the airlines kept her here instead of keeping her over night in a strange place in TX and I was able to bring her home where she is comfortable and had fun playing w/the others. She is doing well on the leash and really enjoyed her Sunday going to a soccer game for my kids where she got many people to come over to pet and meet her. She was a hit.

Is Sami flying in from Texas? Our corgi's might be related! Is 'birth" dad's name "Bart"?

Thanks everyone. After seeing the weather reports on tv about Houston I'm very glad she didn't fly out today. Floods, cars being swept away and worse. Tonight my prayers are for those in Texas. For I know Sami is safe with first family. And there will be lots and lots of pictures and videos when she does get here.

Dang! I know how you must feel. I'm getting my rescue pem Miss Daisy tomorrow. I lost my beloved Miss Emily in January, and Miss Daisy, a puppy mill survivor, just captured my heart w/ her picture on CorgiAid.

I sure do hope that Sami will be with you tomorrow! And, yes, take lots of pictures (in between hugs, wiggles, pets, licky faces, and so on)!!!

Awww. Well, a couple more days to look forward to Samiday. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

We understand. Both Violet and Magnus flew to Florida from Texas - and those were the longest days ever. Violet's flights went pretty smoothly and she arrived right on time. Magnus missed his connection in Atlanta and didn't get in until 10:00 that night - poor thing, he looked exhausted when we got him. He was so happy to see Violet waiting for him when he got home - you could just see it on his face "I recognize those ears!"

Best of luck! It's like an international adoption - going to the airpot to meet the new baby. Remember to take a camera and take lots of pictures!

Thank you. Already have her rescheduled for Monday. You can bet we will be watching the weather like a hawk!

Well, darn it! I know how disappointed you must feel. Hopefully Samiday will happen in the next few days.
