Truman and our Jack Russell Terrior Stuart seem to not see eye to eye

Never posted here before. We love all our dogs. Kees, Tug; JRT, Stuart; JRT Minnow; and Corgi, Truman. All are fine. Tug is king and leader. Minnow if female and best friends with Truman. Staurt and Tug are best of friends. Then we have Truman and Stuart.

We work to take away the anxiety by letting them all know we are in charge and all they need to do is relax, have a good time and know they are loved and cared for. Their job is to get along. We monitor tempers and time outs. If one gets something - they all get something. We take away the opportunities for food fights by feeding Truman in his condo. They all sleep together and we all go on an evening walk on the property behind our barn. They love that. Happy dogs are dead tired dogs.

Lately, Truman (Corgi) 9 mo's and Stuart (JRT), have been having what seems to be some alpha issues. When a fight happens, it happens in a split second and all crap breaks lose. They don't happen often and with each blitz - we try to analyze what happened and find corrective action to stop it from happening again.

This morning, it happened again. I would have to say our JRT got his butt kicked by Truman. I had always worried the other way around. Not enjoying this at all. I need to trust my dogs. All of them. Is this just a scrap they need to work out for themselves or might this be a sign of some deeper aggression?

Please feel free to chime-in.

Day 1 - Bootcamp.

I am beat! We decided to take things back to basics. Each 4 dogs was put on a leash separately and given a walk so they could have "alone" time.

Once the walks were done, our "Motley Crew" was allowed to run together for their group walk/run. Then high tailed it back to the house for their almost daily pool party. (It's the only way we can get them to come in.)

Also, working on the anxieties when it's time to go outside at the back door. Too small of space for the Crew. Two dogs are being held back on leashes. Rotating dogs with each time.

Also going back for some remedial training on what I think is one of the most important commands: LEAVE IT!

No dog fights today. Anxieties seem to be subsiding. We will see.

Question? Is Truman the only Corgi who can't jump?

Truman is just getting to the age where he might be feeling like he could be boss. Both corgis and Jack Russells are hard wired that way. I am assuming that Stuart is older. I ended those issues when we added my son's doberman and my Sparty started going after her by leashing Sparty to me for a few days. He recieved a correction if he so much as looked at her crosseyed. After that he dragged a leash for a while until I felt he would listen when I said no. Now they are fine but it just required me to step up and convince Sparty I was in charge. Fortunately the dobe is pretty passive or it could have been ugly!
