When Ollie went for his 9 weeks shots on thursday, he had a reaction to the vaccine. About an hour after the shot, his face (around his eyes, and his muzzle) started to swell up. By time we arrived back at the vet, his face looked like it had been stung by bees. The vet gave him a steroid and some benadryl, and asked that we stayed until the swelling was gone. It quickly went away (about 15 min), and we were told that he would need benadryl before any shots in the future. Apart from that, our first vet visit went well - the doctors were all coming in saying how cute he was, he behaved extremely well (I wish he was nervous all the time), and they were extremely helpful and quick when we had to return after Ollie had a reaction. He did puke up a little bit up his de-wormer...but they still charged me...meh. It was cheaper than I thought, though. The vaccination was only 28 dollars!
