Harrison went to the vet today for his 12 week puppy shots. It was also the first time I took him out by myself. I packed my bag with his paperwork, banana treats, and squirrel squeak toy. My plan was, to keep him entertained.. WRONG. lol . Overall he did good, he was really excited to see other puppies, but started barking at the furry pups when they wouldn't play with him.
I still haven't gotten use to people asking me what kind of breed he is, and even after I tell them, they ask again. lol . I have always loved corgis and I'm proud and happy to finally have one of my own. I like that they are not a common breed. Just another thing to make our little guys that much more special <3

I've found a geographic variance in people's knowledge of corgis. When I was up in northern Indiana, a lot of people I ran into said "Yeah, my friend/relative has a corgi/corgi mix". I even had a few who knew there were 2 kinds (pem or cardigan), but just didn't know the difference.
Southern IN is different. I've only ran across 1 person who was like "Oh a corgi!" and she was at petsmart. Scouts vet said they have had a lady with 1 other corgi, but other than that, no others.
Also, being a BHT is different, as a lot of people are used to the redheads...
That's funny about people asking his breed - I get that too.
"He's a corgi."
"Um, oh. Well, what else?"
"That's it."
