I just found out that our local MN Humane Society is holding their annual Walk for Animals on April 30, 2011. Team CorgiPals (aka me and Dexter) has signed up to participate, but I need your help to raise money for this cause. I've previously adopted two wonderful cats from this location, and actually had to surrender a third that I had rescued because she didn't get along with Dex. The Humane Society was very helpful and supportive during my emotional surrender, and I know there are several animals that need medical attention. I know I spotlight Corgis on this blog, but I'm a lover of all animals big and small, so I would love to help as much as possible.

Donations will end on Friday, April 29, 2011. NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL! Just click on the ChipIn widget on CorgiPals. You can also sponsor us via the official website. More information about what your donations will do to help can be found HERE. You can track my progress on my personal page of the Humane Society website, or by checking back periodically as I post updates here. You can also track overall progress HERE.

Thank you in advance for your support. This will be mine and Dexter's first walk together. :)

Walking will help me get rid of some extra junk in my trunk, too!

Happy nubs!

Absolutely! Congrats on the new grandbaby coming soon :) I really appreciate you spreading the word for me! The walk is 5 miles, through Theodore Wirth Park, so there will be sidewalk and grass (from what I can tell on Google Maps). You can still sign up even if you have to cancel. I think I can let it slide if the baby comes ;)

Paige...can I let you know in a few days? I really want to but I have a grandbaby due the next week...just in case she would decide to come early I would have to cancel. Maybe we could find a few others to walk as I have some of my corgi babes in the cities I could contact also. I really would love to though! How long is the walk? Will there be any grass or just sidewalk...I would bring Sage and mine are used to gravel and grass.
