Hello, I recently bought my first corgi, his name is Señor and I love the little guy. He is now 10 weeks old and very smart and active.

I´m pretty sure he is a sable, he has a little bit of white around his nose and down his neck and chest and has white toes. I don´t know how much his color is going to change, and how far are the white parts going to spread.

Did anyone had a similar puppy that can show me the puppy vs. adult pictures?

This is my first post, thank you for your comments!

Appa looked a bit like that when she was a pup. She's got a lot of red in here but has a black mask and markings on her back as well as black interspersed through her coat ma
king her look dark red/brownish. Here's what she looked like at 7 months and then when we first got her.

From my experience... He will become more red and maintain a black sprinkling of hairs among the red hair where he has the darker hair now. They usually lighten, get more red and lose some of the black as they mature. The white will not 'spread', but stay the same. There was a puppy from my sables litter that looked similar to yours and matured just as I described. The same happened with my own sable, Koda

I hope this helps! :)

CUTE!! But then is there such a thing as an uncute Corgi puppy? Even when they're being bad they're still cute. Welcome to the board.. I'm a relatively new Corgi mom. My Gwen is a sable. She'll be 6 months this 23rd. There's pics on my page.

Thanks! I just read about the monks cap, I didn´t know that was such a strong characteristic in sables.

BTW Luke´s eyes are very cool!

Definitely a sable IMO. The "monks cap" on the head is usually a sure sign. He's a cutie!
