Let us know how Emma tolerates the furminator, maybe I'll learn something or Mini might be a bit finicky.  I'm wondering if you will find it takes off too much hair or not, corgi's with their thick coats are a challenge to keep groomed!  Thanks.

Thank you Rosemary for the info. I have been using one of those wand like stripper combs too. It seems to pull the hair off fairly well. I've ordered a furminator off of Amazon for $22 so if Emma doesn't like it I won't be out too much money.

I have the furminator but I don't use it too much on the corgi, as she doesn't like it at all and it seems to cut the hair so you have to make perfect swipes with it or you'll see where you missed or did too much on her fur.  I just use a regular brush to get all extra hair off and sometimes a wand like stripper that folds over and it held together with black handles with saw like teeth (sorry, forget what it is called).  That covers a large area and can be done quickly, she tolerates it well.  She loves being brushed, but totally hates the furminator cause I think those little teeth pull the hair.  I don't want her to avoid being brushed or to think it's a negative experience so although I have one, I don't use it.
