Wyatt is not feeling good.

Hello everyone,
Since Monday Wyatt has been acting strange. He wont get next to us, he is constantly pacing around the house, wont play, wont bark at the neighbors and wont let us pick him up. The one time I did pick him up he cried when I touched his chest. He is eating human food only. So we brought him to the emergency clinic last night and they tried to help us. But they couldn't get him muzzled because he does not understand that we only want to help him. So they kind of checked him out and came to the conclusion that he has all the clinical signs of pain on his back and neck that some corgis do get if they jump off something (the doctor said that he might have slipped a disk, i doubt it). So they gave me an anti inflammatory and some pain meds. I still think he needs an antibiotic to give him a little boost if there might be an infection, but they refused to give me them.

So hopefully when I go home in a bit, he will be feeling a little better. They told me to wait till tomorrow to see how hes doing and then bring him back if hes not any better.

Its very strange that it drives me nuts when he barkd at the neighbors but I miss it so much right now. I just miss my playful Wyatt. I hope he gets better soon.

Comment by Erica on April 2, 2009 at 3:57pm: He started to feel better today, still a little standoffish....but i think hes getting better. Hopefully by next week he will be back to himself. I know hes not feeling good when he does not bark at the runners outside. Hes a herding dog.
