Yes, newfs do, indeed, drool buckets and buckets. It's been worth it to me and my husband, but both of us work on keeping the house cleaned of newf drool. I have cleaned drool off walls, ceilings, doors, tabletops, and even the ceiling fan. I've heard people tell of non-drooling (or newfs that drool only a little) but I've never seen one for myself. Until I have proof, I'm going to consider that to be just another urban myth.

I don't believe he was raised around cats. From what I have read, however, Corgis seems to 'like' cats. At least that's what a dog magazine I read said. I suppose the cat would just have to be okay with being 'herded' occasionally. :)

Not sure if you would be interested, but my corgi Emma's daddy (JR) is up for adoption. He is 20 mo. old, handsome sable and white corgi. He is house trained and very well mannered. His owner is looking for a loving home for him. Just thought I would mention it. :)

Kristina, we also went with Sandy at Dahlhousekennels.com and have been very happy with Gem as well, she was well socialized and a sweetie from the get go so definitely check her out! Iooked for a breeder for a long time close to home here in Mn and wish I would've known sooner about her! They are out of Waverly and we got our little girl for $400. If you let them know in advance what sort of temperament and markings you're looking for, she'll start looking at the puppies they have throughout the summer for one that's perfect for you. :) Best of luck and no matter where you go, you've chosen a wonderful breed!
