Thank you for your support of Sunny. Its is extremely hard to see any animal go threw this but Corgis are a smart and tough breed. Chad and I are very positive that she will fine and start to get back to her normal self.
I see that you have a very smart corgi. That is a pretty impressive story, breaking out of the laundry room. You also have such an animal friendly home. That is awesome. I bet she gets exposed to a lot of different environments and animals. We are still working on that with Sunny. She just recently realized that she likes streams. My husband had to put her in it and then she realized she liked it.
Congratulations!!! I cant wait to see your new boy! I will also get another pup from the same breeder as I got Laverne. Hopefully a Spring baby this time. Standing outside at 2am waiting for her to potty gets a bit chilly! lol You mentioned how smart Corgis are. My pup will not only poop and pee on command she will also pretend to pee for a treat...lol. I always give her one even when she fakes. A for effort! I cant get over how amazing Corgis are!!! Your dogs are PERFECT! :-) Wow! All so beautiful!
Dundee is off of 99W just south of Sherwood and Newberg. It's about 15minutes west of I-5. Just in between Newberg and McMinville basically. look at google maps and you'll see it. They call it wine country around here. lots of wineries.
Your dog's are soo cute! It is nice to meet other Corgi owners from other states. I just found out about this site and will be letting other Oregonian Corgi mom's know about it. My little Nutmeg is my best buddy and these dogs are such natural horse dogs. I never worry about her around them, she's too smart to get kicked.
Fern is doing exceptionally well. She gets her staples out on Friday at our regular vet. I plan to take a picture of her incision. It is about 8 inches long. That is huge on such a petite girl. she acts as though nothing has happened physically. Wants to chase every cat and run run run. She seems happier--not dripping so much and no more infection. She is such a sweet girl. We go back to Iowa State for her final evaluation on Nov. 14. I think it will all be good news!
I didnt take Lance trick or treating either because I didnt think he would handle
everyone dressed up too well.....I think it would have been a bit overwhelming
and my daughter wouldnt have wanted to walk him back in the middle of trick or treating so we left him home to pass out candy with my husband, we put up
a baby gate at the door so the kids could still get candy but Lance couldnt dart out the door everytime it opened!! I have a good picture of him in his costumes just at home.
Hi Laura!! Everything is going ok for us. Lance really needs to get to the groomers though, our groomer I was taking him to was right around the corner
from us but now we dont go to her anymore so we need to find a new one!
I think I may try this place that just opened up they are suppose to have walk in appt., Lances hair is really long in between his toes and just today I noticed it looks brownish/red and he has been licking his paw lately, I have
read that could be allergies. I hope it isnt infected or anything. You think if he was bleeding we would have noticed it on other things. I have also read
that they can get a bacterial infection from the hair being too long, soooo off to the groomers we go tomm. on my day off. I am so glad I have tomm. off, it will probably be our last 70 degree day in awhile! Lance has been enjoying fetch in the backyard on a long leash seeing we dont have a fenced in yard.
He is really having alot of fun being able to run around back there and is enjoying his favorite wagathal treats when he brings the ball back, they break into teeny tiny pieces so it is really easy to break apart which is wonderful, I highly recommend them for training. His treats our maple oatmeal with bannana and apple! Another favorite treat of his is canned pumpkin, he lovessss it!!! The pumpkin he only gets once in awhile. How exciting KC maybe getting a brother!!! I wish we could but we just cant, so we will enjoy Lance!!! I am getting a new camera too because the last one broke, so hopefully I will get lots of pictures up, although I still have a ton of pictures to put on from my old camera!!!! Like Lances Halloween pictures, they are so cute. Thanks for the hello. Talk to you later.
Thanks Laura.--she is the sweetest little thing and we want to do what is right for her. She started life in a rough way, but has overcome all the bad stuff. Hopefully this will be just a small bump in the road.
Hi Laura, Thank You for the welcome back! Yes we had a good time as well as Lance did. Hope K.C. is feeling better now. Why do you give up? Is KC getting into the teenage years.....dont worry they get better.
Hi, how is KC feeling today? I hope she is acting more like herself. Are you giving her any pain meds? How is that going? Well, Jillie sends puppy kisses !!!!! We hope she has a speedy recovery
Laura, you have a beautiful family...both furkids and people kids... Love seeing the muddy puppy pictures. That is a constant thing at our house these days. Lots of rain out at the farm! Oh how I miss those stay at home days. Best days of my life. My children are grown now, but the Corgis make me feel like I have a house full of toddlers!
Hi Laura They do learn to adjust to the crate, and it is nice it keeps them safe!! My daughter was 9 when we got Lance neutered and she was sooooo upset with us that we were doing this to him!!!!! Obviously she doesnt understand the whole reasoning behind it, lol She was so upset, she was so worried he was being hurt, that is all she cared about! She wrote us a note and said Lance was going to hate us, lol!!! Kids can be too funny sometimes. Lance did fine when he got neutered, I am sure KC and Levi will do fine too. Better to have it done before you do have more for Christmas morning, lol!!! Well have a good weekend and coming week, we will be in Florida(Disney) starting Saturday, Yeah......first family trip.......Lance's first time being left by us. : ( I am sure he will love it, I have heard alot of good things about the place where we are boarding him so that helps, it is just so hard to leave them but we at least deserve one family vacation. Have to go pack. Bye Natalie
Thank you so much! I learned from this that you must appreciate every day you have with your pets because you just never know. Within a few months of the diagnosis he left us. It felt like a blink of the eye and poof he was gone! We are still in tears at times but lately I have been watching happy memories that we have on tape and looking at photos so we are feeling better. I love the photos of your pup by the tree. Was she searching for squirrels? Riley would do that lol
