Hey, where did you get Maya? Wonder if she'll be a blackfaced tri? The blackfaced allele is recessive to the ordinary tri pattern, wherein the black on the face mostly fades (Al has no black left on his face at all, Gwynnie only a little).
Welcome! Maya is adorable..and she sounds like my Joshua - he'll do tricks reliably, but command him to "stay" or "come" or "drop it" - you know, something important, and he will only sometimes do it. :P Oh well, we'll just keep working on his training. In the meantime, we get a good laugh at the way he automatically lifts his left paw to "shake" every time we tell him to "sit". Hee hee!
