I just found your reply to the wet dog thread. We just give them a rub down with a bath towel. The wet doesn't get under the inner fur unless you add detergent and elbow grease, as is sometimes needed.

Good for you for crate training. I think you'll find the training goes a lot faster and easier. If you haven't done so, you might put a couple of indestructible chew toys in his crate to give him something to do when he's not napping. (Charlie shredded soft stuffed toys and tried to swallow the fluff, so he couldn't have them unless I was watching.)
Looking forward to reading more Rambo stories! Pupies are loads of work, and loads of fun. :)
Keep us posted on progress. We are bringing a new puppy home the middle of January so we will be starting the whole process over. I have found Corgis to be the easiest dog I have ever potty trained. Corgis love to socialize so don't be afraid to take your Corgi with you.
Hey Miss Jane, your comment area is closed for your post regarding to the rain coat. If you turn it on then our members will be able to reply. If it rains hard, i'll opt for the rain coat. Bryson our member have a really nice one. check it out!
welcome Miss Jane, and welcome to the world of corgi puppy love from Rambo - he looks adorable! Luna's coloring is indeed unique, she's used to stealing all the attention from her brother Kai, treat's too!
Our climate is similar to yours. It's not entirely facetious to recommend that you wear Gortex or similar as the Corgi has that nice double coat that sheds weather beautifully. Tracker will go out in the dog run and sit in the snow and rain by the hour, watching the world go bye. It doesn't seem to matter if he's under the roofed or open section to him.
The wet never gets to the inner fur and he's always warm when he comes in.

Welcome to the group! Rambo is adorable! As you'll see by my profile and Moonmystic's having corgis is like eating Lays Potato chips. You can't have just one. :-)
Rambo looks super cute! welcome to mycorgi :) You'll find theyre quite addicting and should expect many corgis to invade your life in the coming years!
