Well, it's been hard, for sure, thanks, not so sure I did such a good job at it. :oP

Michael's high school class is over 900 students! It wasn't even the size of the school that was his problem. It was a teacher that harassed him in front of the class, on several occasions. He developed such a fear of teachers that he had to ultimately just quit going. We are so fortunate that we were able to get him into the homebound program. I am hoping that he can handle college professors.

I've raised my son on my own, basically, for the last 10 years. I'm really ready for him to make his way in the world. :o)

His father lives 3 hours away and isn't really here for all the important stuff.

Yes, my 18 yr old is a senior in high school, sort of. About a year ago he developed an anxiety disorder related to school (because of a teacher!!) He's in a homebound program through the school, but it is awful. It's only a Pass/Fail program so his GPA can't be raised and he had flunked a few classes just before this disorder set in. We're hoping that he can still attend a smaller satellite campus for a year or so before he can get accepted to Purdue or Indiana University. For that matter, we just hope he can get to college!

Sometimes I really wonder who these politicians think they are?!!!! who needs to trap in ditches???

I'm so sorry that you lost your baby in such a horrible way. How cruel.

We used to have another Corgi (a black headed tri) named Zorro. He wasn't even two years old when he ventured into the kitchen garbage and got his head stuck in a plastic bag (one of those Vacuum Sealer bags - heavy duty) it was very snug and he was so intent on getting the pork chop juices that he suffocated.

Corgis are so loyal and loving, all they want to do is be your best friend.

HA! I'll be 46 in April!

We had another Corgi a few years ago. A black headed tri, named Zorro. He wasn't even two years old when he got into the trash and suffocated on a plastic bag that had had pork steaks in it. It was devastating. I'll be posting more pics soon and I hope I can find some of Zorro, he was such a happy lil pup!

Chester is GREAT! He's now 12 and he seems younger than he had been the last few years! I almost put him to sleep when I found out he had diabetes, but he is my "soul mate", been with me through thick and thin, so I decided that I had to try everything I could to save him. He gets two shots of insulin a day, along with his meals, and NO IN BETWEEN SNACKS! That's the hardest because he's a bottomless pit when it comes to food.
He's lost 13 pounds (he was 55 lbs when he was diagnosed!!!) and he's got a few lumps on his body, but basically he's very healthy now! I never expected him to live this long after he was diagnosed, but he's still going strong!

I have one son, he's 18, going on 30.........I think I'm going insane :oP

Thank you for the nice comment! That's my son's Senior picture. I wanted a picture of my boys. I almost lost Chester in May to diabetes so I wanted to make sure I had a really nice picture of my baby. :o)

Hi Kristen,

I saw that you have multiple Corgis and I was wondering if you got them both at the same time? Or if you got them with time separating them. We got our Corgi for my birthday almost a year and a half ago, and I am so thrilled with him! We have an offer from a woman who can no longer keep her corgi, to get her dog, but I wanted to know if having two dogs took away any of your attention from the first one? If you could get back to me, that would be great! P.s- Your dogs are really really cute!

Hi Kristen! Thanks for sending me the comment and the pic of Fern. Jillie and Fern are very similiar in their looks and size. It seems that your furry babies are a big part of your family, just like us as well. I would not have it any other way, I just love it!
Our son will be moving to Fort Meyers area, so it is south of Tampa. Todd trained at a NFL training camp in Tampa....he loved that city! Where does your daughter go to school? We are so excited for him and will definitely plan some trips to visit and see some games!
Wishing you a Happy New Year! Kathy

Hi Kristen! Thanks for the nice comment! We do have things in common, our son just graduated from college and is moving to Fla. He will be playing arena football for the Florida Fire Cats, he has been playing since he was 6 yrs old! And our daughter is a sophmore at the University of South Carolina, she is 19.
We love our pet family: a lab mix, Jack and our corgi, Jillie. We also adopted three stray cats: Chi-Chi, Bella, and Marlie. Our bunny died two mths ago, she was 7 or 8 yrs old. Our whole family are animal lovers!
Your corgis are precious.....which one is Fern?
I agree with you that I would rather stay home with my furry babies! I am a kindergarten teacher...which I do love! Your job sounds interesting...is this on the federal level?

Thanks Kristen. Grad school is coming fast at me. I start Jan 28th. I would rather stay home, live on a puppy ranch and raise corgis too. I love Daisy so much. She is such a smart girl.
Where are you a lobbyist? state or federal level ?
Interesting!

Pippin & I thank you for the warm welcome! We love your babies!! They are SOOO adorable! I love Corgis to pieces. I would have 20 if I could. What characters...unlike any other dog breed I've ever had. Puppy New Year!
