We have a Peanut also, someone dropped her off on our street when she was about 8 months old, I was outside gardening and she came over and crawled on my lap, she has been here ever since, she named herself, I tried all different names and when I got to Peanut, she jumped up and wagged her tail, so that is her name and her coat is the colour of a roasted peanut..
He'd have to be! C'mon, holding his own in a house full of Corgis...show lots of character & also shows that HE IS a character. He found his way to you.
PS hahaha. NOW i find my message. Sometimes I have so much trouble navigating this site, and frequently lose messages. but, i love this site.
I sent you a message, but I don't see it, that it seems that Peanut was meant to find you guys. There's a Hebrew word we say "beshert" (pronounced bah-SHIRT) meaning it was was meant to be, destiny, soul mate. Seems to me that Peanut was beshert!
Peanut seems right at home, like he was born there. Lucy would never let Ricky-Rafa rest so much as a toe nail on her. She has very strong boundaries. He has none! How great that your pack accepted Peanut so quickly and so well. Kudos to you.
We had really bad wind yesterday. The corgis didn't care but Jack Spaniels was crying like a baby. I am trying to delete a photo and can't figure it out. I've done it before! Can you help?
I just realized that I know all your dogs' names and not yours! I'm Wendy. I also enjoyed reading that you were one of the first 20 members of this wonderful site. Lucky you. I stumbled upon mycorgi relatively late, and now I can't imagine not having this site in my life. Where did you find this info? I often wish the dates were posted that members first joined so I could figure out the age of the Corgis now. But, who am I kidding? I can barely remember anything I read these days!
Over 9,000 members shows how popular Corgis are becoming. It worries me that people will get one because they are the IN dog and not be willing to work with them. Your dogs all look healthy, but you see so many who are over weight. Of course that applies to all pets, but Corgis are so hard to keep slim.
A grand group of folks! I didn't think anything could replace my Little Girl when she passed this spring. The Little Man show me that that is true. He is something completely different. While I find myself looking at the pictures of the little queen somewhat wistfully at times, I am more than in awe at the Little Man who has entered my life. I cannot imagine someone not wanting him - my complete gain! http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/tt/b95ef/ Cheers from the wet north!
