Stanford passed his Sheep Herding Instinct Test today in Santa Rosa. It was a treat to see him circle around the sheep. Thanks to the GGPWCF. We had a lot of fun!

I have just introduced my corgi, Ranger, to sheep herding. Are you still doing this with Stanford?

We went to a great place in Paicines, Clint Abbott. Don't know how "into" it we'll get. We do live in the burbs...not a sheep ranch. Ranger LOVES herding. My only concern is that it might "bring out" more of this behavior around other moving animals. He already goes after horses and other dogs as if to heard them...staring them down and a little heel nipping, close following at any speed. Has your dog's behavior around other animals (in movement) changed since introducing him to sheep? My thoughts are 1. he loves it and he seems to have the instinct  2. it's an outlet for the instinct. 3. I hope to get some level of control around this behavior, as in "that'll do..." Thanks for sharing this video!
