it's pretty darn fun. We had Dudley instinct tested when he was 6 months old and he did a stellar job so we started taking him to a sheep station every other week to keep his interest up. When the light blub finally turned on and he actually started herding rather than chasing, we started going every week. But then he was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia and had to have surgery. Until he's all rehabed from that, no more herding.
