who would have thought that at a such young age our dogs can be stricken with such a debilatating disease.
I hope that Corgi continues to improve each day :-)

Amazing recovery! What a beautiful and loving family. Thanks for posting. Hope Corgi's feeling better and keeping her spirits high! Jayne, Toddy & Pongo
Never mind Wynne. I forgot that I posted that presentation already, however, in youtube we have about 8 videos all pertaining to Corgi's recovery. Sorry, duh!!!!
Hello Wynne,
This is what this is all about. People looking for answers. Corgi was just shy of two years old when she had the surgery. She was 18 months old when the symptoms appeared. We were besides ourselves, not knowing what to do. Thank God we have one of the best Vets in the business. Corgi was in bad shape before the surgery. She could no longer walk, especially the right leg. Arthritis kicked in big time. I broke our hearts. We finally agreed to the surgery which was on 5/12/09. This is when the work started. Depending on the diagnosis of your beloved pet, be sure to consult with a good vet. Therapy and after care are crucial. It has been one month and COrgi is blossoming like a spring flower. Go to www.youtube.com and type in the search box A Glimpse into Corgi's Journey. It is a PPT presentation of her before and after surgery. Let me know if there is anything you need to know. I have been there, looking for information not knowing what to do.
Thank you for sharing that video-that is wonderful! Our Gus has hip dysplasia, and we are considering the FHO surgery. How old is Corgi? How bad was she before the surgery?
We never thought that we would see our Corgi's naked butt either. Her hair is growing in nicely. Today marks one month since the surgery. This is the very reason we are doing the site and the videos. There is so little information about after care. Lots of info on the surgery, but not the recovery process.
