Awww. I need to try that with Emmy. Right now she will chase a toy that I have in my hands and I will let her find it and bite on it. I taught her drop it by waving some food in her face and pulling it away. She would drop the toy and go for the food. So now we do chase, drop it, sit, shake hand in sequence so she knows that's how we will play! She does try to nose or lick my hand when I put it out though. So funny! Let me know what other tricks Darcy picks up!

Thanks y'all!  Hi Suneera -- Darcy is 9 weeks old.  This trick took about 3 or 4 days (the "sit" only took a few minutes) because she kept biting at my hand when I offered it.  So, I decided to give her a chew toy so that her teeth were occupied, and while she was happily chewing, I'd pick up her paw and just keep saying "Shake."  Then, finally, with a treat (and no chew toy), I put out my hand and said, "Shake," and she did it!  I was so excited!

This is too cute!!!! Emmy shifts her weight to one paw and lets me pick a paw up, but she doesn't consistently give me her paw yet. How old is Darcy?
