Sure is. Often caused by a 'soft something' on the top of the dogs throat (can't remember what the something was called) which tickles their throat or less commonly due to allergies. Also happens often after eating. It is not a big concern.
My corgi girls have both done it and Daina gets quite long attacks lasting a few minutes, then a break, then another attack. I block her nose to make her breathe through her mouth and I stroke her throat, keeping her calm. It seems to resolve them. We also give her phenergan which is an antihistamine and that helps.
Your boy's seems very mild so that is something to be thankful for! Daina's sound awful.
Yes. Petie does it all the time. Someone said to put your hand over their nose for a sec. and it would resolve. I thought that sounded ridiculus, but of corse, I tried it. lol. It works on Petie!
Looks like it, though I've never seen it last that long. Usually when Dax does it though, it's more intense, but it only lasts about 10 seconds. You can massage his throat and it should help it to go away. It's a little strange though, every time I've seen reverse sneezing it's been like a fast snorting kind of noise, I've never seen it done so calm and quiet. :) It doesn't usually seem to bother Dax, but he kind of looked almost helpless like he didn't really know what was going on...
