So today was Max's vet appointment for his last round of shots, and he did so great! I went alone, so I could have some one on one time with him, and he was an angel in the passenger seat--no crate, no nothing! They did a quick little check up on him, everything looked good, and he didn't even flinch with the shot! What a good Maxo:)

There was one thing that bothered me...they're not very familiar with the corgi. When they asked, I told her he was a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, like Juneaux, and she told the chic at the computer "Its a corki", lol! Its the same vet we take Juneaux to, and they didn't (except for the actual vet) know what she was either, they didn't even have her breed in their computer system! I was supposed to take Max to a different vet, and just switch Juni over, but it got late on me, and they didn't have any openings today.

Its not a BIG deal or anything, but I would like to take them both to a vet whose actually familiar with the breed, and is informed with any/every kind of genetic issues, right?

Anywho, got to cut this short, but Max did awesome!

lol! well we've heard "corki" before like at petsmart--and those are usually the people who actually know what breed they are. we even heard a kid once tell his mom he'd seen a weenie dog, lol!!

I am glad to hear your trip to the vet went well. That is odd that they didn't know what he was. When ever Sophie goes anywhere with me people always know and comment on how cute she is. It must be a corgi thing and riding shotgun....

wow, that's really surprising that they weren't familiar with the breed. everywhere we go we always hear, "oh look! it's a corgi!" that's great how max did well with his shots. ein never noticed that they even gave him a shot since they distracted him with some cheese wiz. lol. when we 1st took ein to the vet for his puppy shots they informed us that he's one of 3 other pembroke corgi's named ein. at least you're one of a kind!

ein loves riding shotgun as well. i think it's because he has a better view.
