well to start off, we're all doing better:) max is better than expected, he hasn't shown any sign of depression at all, which is a relief--he was really our main concern.

Its officially been 2 days since we lost Juni, and its not any easier. I catch myself daydreaming of her sitting next to me in the car on our way to Petsmart, or her laying at my feet so I could rub her belly with my toes. We loved that dog to pieces! I also started crying in secret since it makes my 2 yr old sad when I cry. When does it get better?

Tears roll down my cheeks as a type this...this is hard.



Last night we found Juneaux dead. No explanation, no nothing...she's just gone. I'd had a busy day with company, and hate that I didn't take a few minutes to step outside with them. When my husband came home, he went outside and found her at the foot of my son's slide. The place she enjoyed the most, oh how she loved to run up that slide and come down with him. He was the joy in her life, and she was his.

max and juni are doing great, of course! his ears STILL aren't up, but they're "perkier" than when he was a pup, so we're hopeful, lol! they get along pretty well, of course the other day they fought for the same rib bone, even though they each had their own--juneaux has a sharing problem sometimes, we think.

Are my only options taping and yogurt?? We've done the yogurt thing about 2-3 weeks now and still nothing. I've hesitated taping, only because I know Juneaux will tear them off his ears anyway. Max is already a few days away from turning 14 weeks...should I just try taping??

So today was Max's vet appointment for his last round of shots, and he did so great! I went alone, so I could have some one on one time with him, and he was an angel in the passenger seat--no crate, no nothing! They did a quick little check up on him, everything looked good, and he didn't even flinch with the shot! What a good Maxo:)

Ahhh...where to begin. About 3 months ago, my husband and I decided to buy another puppy. Juneaux was already 6 months or so, and with a baby on the way, we thought she should have a friend. We contemplated adopting a dog, but could never find anything the right size--face it, corgis are the best! So I signed up on puppyfind.com, and thought I'd look there. So Juneaux is outside about 80% of the time, but we started to bring her in for the evening. We used to have her on Frontline, and when we first got her had even treated the yard with Adams Yard Spray. She was off of Frontline for maybe 2 months, and we noticed she was getting fleas, I'm guessing maybe because of the warm temps. down here, so I bought her K-9 Advantix, but she still has fleas!

So yesterday we picked out our newest corgi. He'll be ready to come home in about 3-4 weeks, and I am sooo excited! The entire litter was so beautifully marked, but this little red boy caught my eye:) We just have no idea what to name him...Our girl's name is Juneaux, so I had thought to name him Rockeaux--my husband said no...wah! I was hoping for some suggestions...he's a beautiful red/white---help!:)

So Juneaux typically IS a barker. Considering that she's pretty social with our extended family and their pets, she's always on the offensive whenever we take her to Petsmart. She barks at dogs and people when we go:( We'd never had a problem with her barking out back, just a random bark here and there, until recently...
