Never though I'd see the day...

where Teddy and my old grouchy black and white cat, B, would be playing together. But they did!

I was so happy, I had tears in my eyes.

B was very unhappy when Teddy came into the house and I thought they would never get along. There have been a few times where B decided to ummm, chase Teddy and while it was amusing to see a little puffed up nine pound cat chase a 25 pound dog, it didn't bode well for harmony in the household.

But today while I was folding the pile of laundry on my bed, B was sitting in the cat tree, gnawing on the ribbons. Teddy come over and seeing the ribbons move and dance decided he wanted in on the fun and B let him! There was no growling, no hissing, no chasing and only a few dirty looks when Teddy jumped on his hinds legs.

Yay for progress!

I'm having the same issue with Wrigley and my cat Hermione at the moment. It's a good day when they can both be in the same room without hissing and chasing.

Two of the cats do not run from them, but they have not become friends. Her other cats run for the hills, and I have to keep Soffie and Griffyn from chasing them. Yet, in our neighborhood there is a beautiful Persian cat who has become friends with my dogs. If they see each other from afar they all run to each other like long lost friends. The Persian cat has also appeared at my back door wanting in to see Soffie and Griffyn. It is so cute!!
